The Bamboo factory in Bàu Bàng is one of the flagship industrial projects where HP Steel delivered the steel structure scope. HP Steel delivered the complete steel structure package, from shop-drawing detailing and in-house fabrication to transport and on-site erection:
- Fabrication of 1,285 tons of steel members for three main workshops and the three-storey circular weaving building.
- Welding and weld inspection to standard, ensuring fit-up tolerances across a large-footprint structure.
- Surface preparation and protective coating suited to an industrial plant environment.
- Structural erection delivered on schedule and safely across the 100,000 m² site.
The three main workshops feature wide spans that optimise continuous production space and material flow. Long-span framing allows flexible line layouts while minimising internal columns.
The most distinctive scope is the three-storey circular weaving building, serving the circular-loom lines typical of the packaging/textile industry. A multi-storey steel frame demands careful design for dynamic equipment loads, stability and higher floor stiffness than a typical single-storey workshop.
All structures were fabricated under HP Steel's ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and EN ISO 3834-2 welding capability — the foundation for meeting requirements on both domestic and export-grade projects.
Completed in 2020 and handed over on schedule, the project met the structural quality required for plant operation. Bamboo Bàu Bàng demonstrates HP Steel's capability in large-scale factories and complex multi-storey steel structures.
